Standing at the base of Diamond Head is very intimidating but the hike up to the peak is much easier than anticipated. It didn’t take as long as they said, could be a hard hike for some people as its uphill all the way. Views are amazing. Its single file up and back. My kids loved it. The view at the top was unbelievable and made every step worth it.

  2. 5 out of 5 A must do on Oahu

There are a lot of stairs towards the top so you really need to be in decent shape but you don’t have to be an athlete. You can’t go to Waikiki without hiking Diamond Head. Just take some water for the uphill strenuous hike. Return trip much easier. We had a lot of fun!! It’s a must do in Oahu!

  4. 5 out of 5 Worth every step!

A quick & satisfying hike with 100+ steps at the end to get to the lookout platform. We hike Diamond Head on our annual visit to Honolulu & it’s always a pleasure! Wear good shoes, much of the path is rocky & uneven. The trail becomes progressively more uneven as you ascend. When you are done you can treat yourself to fresh pineapple or a freshly opened coconut! I am glad to got to experience this on my Oahu trip!
